We Bring Expertise in Forestry Services to You
Timber cruising, harvest planning, reforestation and long term stewardship for landowners across the Southeast.
Professional Harvesting
Harvesting is much more than felling trees.
Harvesting plays a valuable role in the life cycle of forest land, allowing soil to replenish and wildlife to diversify. We conduct harvesting activities with professional care, taking into consideration job safety, minimally intrusive cutting and removal, and accountability to forestry regulations.
Selective Thinning and Controlled Burns
We can selectively thin your stand to remove stunted or diseased trees, which ultimately improves overall forest health and will return a higher yield for future cuttings.
Sometimes a controlled burn is prescribed to reduce the chance of a catastrophic fire, and to encourage germination and enrich soil composition and wildlife populations.
Forest Management
Landman has over 35 years of experience managing land for bountiful yields through environmentally sound practices.
We have a range of practices to support stewardship of your resources. We can help you mark and clear visible boundaries to show where your land starts and ends. We can help ensure your land is accessible by establishing or maintaining safely traversable roads and tracks.
Landman can provide short- and long-term plans targeted to your goals. We can advise you on setting goals to maximize your land's health and yield. Landman's advice can prove invaluable in expertly planning use and management of your land and timber.
Reforestation
Which species should you plant? And when, and in what order?
Landman has the know-how and experience to plan and carry out replanting according to the plot's need, via machine or hand planting, depending on the best way to accomplish the plan for your land.
Wildlife Management
Throughout our Forest Management activities and services, we always keep an eye out for the wildlife.
Managing the forest means managing the habitat and environmental factors wildlife diversity and health depends on. We are woodsmen and hunters ourselves, and we do care immensely for the lands that are our heritage.
